Work and Holiday Visa Streams
First Work and Holiday Visa
This visa allows first-time applicants to live, work, and travel in Australia for up to 12 months. Work is generally limited to 6 months per employer, and study is permitted for up to 4 months. Applicants must apply from outside Australia, hold a passport from an eligible country, and must not have previously held a Work and Holiday or Working Holiday visa.
Second Work and Holiday Visa
Applicants who have completed at least 3 months of specified work while holding their first Subclass 462 visa may be eligible for a second 12-month visa. This visa offers the same work and study rights and can be applied for from inside or outside Australia, subject to visa status requirements.
Third Work and Holiday Visa
A third Work and Holiday visa may be available to applicants who completed 6 months of specified work while holding their second Subclass 462 visa. This provides an additional 12 months in Australia with continued work and limited study rights.
